Infant Feeding Update Training for GP’s and their GP Surgery Colleagues. This is a 90 minute Teams Video call for an update on infant feeding for GP’s;
This update is currently free of any costs. The training has received positive feedback from those who have attended. Speakers that co-present include a GP who is also a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter/Trustee at GBSN; Hospital Infant Feeding Lead Midwife/Nurse, and Dietician Lead.
The presentation covers topics such as:
- Cow’s Milk Protein Allergy,
- Identification with management and treatment of conditions such as Thrush and Mastitis,
- Slow weight gain in Infants, including more rarely known conditions in mothers/babies that can affect breastfeeding,
- Where to get help including specialist support and the various roles in Infant Feeding Support, plus links to resources.
