DESCRIPTION:When – \nSession 1: 24th September 2026 – 09:30-13:00\nSession 2: 22nd October 2026 – 09:30-13:00\nSession 3: 26th November 2026 – 09:30-13:00 \nWhere – Delivered online via Zoom\, once you have registered\, you will receive a link for the sessions you have requested to attend. Please note the sessions will not be recorded so if you sign up\, you must attend on the day.\n\nWho – Any clinician in primary care assessing skin lesions within SWAG. \nOverview – Chin is a GP in Cheltenham with a passion for primary care dermatology\, and dermoscopy in particular. She has been teaching dermoscopy since 2012\, for the Cardiff dermoscopy course\, Primary Care Dermatology Society and independently for practices and ICBs across the UK. \n· If you have had no dermoscopy education you need to start with the first session and ideally attend all three\n· If you have had some education then you are free to join any session \nSession 1 (Beginners) – How dermoscopy works and practical tips\, including how to get good dermoscopy photos and troubleshooting tips – A practical demonstration of the commonly used scopes. This includes how to turn it on\, focus it\, charge it\, clean it etc. – Interpretation of dermoscopic structures in benign lesions (seb K\, angiomas\, warts\, dermatofibromas\, sebaceous hyperplasia\, comedones)\, BCCs and melanomas (and how this always needs to be taken in clinical context) – How to put it all together into a simple algorithm – Other uses of dermoscopy in primary care. \nSession 2 (Beginners) – This is the follow up session from part 1\, and there is a recommendation to handle the scope for several weeks in between the two parts. – Recap of how to use the scope\, benign lesions and BCCs – Actinic keratosis\, Bowens and SCC – Special sites – palms and soles\, faces – More about naevi and melanomas – More BCCs including pigmented and superficial BCCs. \nSession 3 (Not So Beginners) – This is the follow up session from parts 1 and 2\, and and there is a recommendation to practice with the scope for several weeks in between the first two parts and the third part. – Recap of how to use the scope\, benign lesions and BCCs – Introducing a few new lesions – More features/unusual presentations of common lesions – Lots of practice! \nIf you are interested in attending\, please use this form to register – SWAG Wide Dermoscopy Training with Dr Chin Whybrew – Fill in form
