Stress Awareness Week 2025 – Shared Resources

Post shared to Social Media Channels – 3rd November 2025

It’s International Stress Awareness Week!

Today marks the first day of this initiative, promoted by The International Stress Management Association (ISMAUK), to highlight the impact of stress and encourage wellbeing.

If you work in General Practice in Gloucestershire, the ICB currently funds access to Care first (part of the Priory Group) for when colleagues may need assistance including;

• Helpline for confidential support 24/7, regarding home or work-related issues

• Advice from Citizens Advice Bureau trained specialists

• Online resources via Care first Lifestyle Website.

Find out more via the Primary Care Training Hub website where you can fill in a very short form here – https://glosprimarycare.co.uk/care-first-details eligible colleagues will then receive an e-mail with all the details. Take a moment for yourself and explore the help available—your wellbeing matters.

Today is Stress Awareness Day, part of International Stress Awareness Week (Mon 3 Nov to Friday 7 November) – https://isma.org.uk/isma-international-stress-awareness-week

We wanted to highlight the health and well being resources available through Gloucestershire’s Primary Care Training Hub website here – https://glosprimarycare.co.uk/health-and-wellbeing

Your wellbeing matters, have you considered any of the following?

• Take a break when you can and encourage colleagues to take breaks

• Lunchtime walks – Try solo, or if you prefer, ask if a colleague fancies a “walk and talk” – a 5 minute brisk walk outside can have physical benefits like lower blood pressure/ better energy levels and improve mental health by reducing stress/boosting mood

• Drink plenty of fluids

• Plan in something that brings you joy e.g. call a friend, re-engage with a hobby, exercise, arrange to meet up with family/friends
