The National Defibrillator Network
If you have an AED and you want to register it on the National database follow this link: thecircuit.uk
The DefibFinder app will be able to show you your nearest defibrillator that is registered on The Circuit – This is subject to change as more defibs are registered.
The AED that was demonstrated during the training at the event was the IPAD SP1 AED from Defibrillators | WEL Medical – Shop (although prices on their shop do look more than the NHS buys them for).

Oliver McGowan Training
NHS locums are currently able to access the nationally funded ICS Oliver McGowan Mandatory training please contact the training hub on glicb.pcwc@nhs.net for the training link. There are two levels of training – Tier 1 for non-patient facing staff and Tier 2 for patient facing staff, therefore, as a locum GP you will be required to undertake the one day face to face Tier 2 training session. There are currently over 50 Tier 2 sessions available to book on to between December 2025 – March 2026 with more being arranged so please check back regularly for new dates.
