Big Health Day

June 11 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
Free

Now in its 18th year, Big Health Day returns on Thursday 11 June, 2026
Time: 9.30am to 2pm
Place: Oxstalls Sports Park, Plock Court, Tewkesbury Road, Gloucester, GL2 9DW

Big Health Day is a fun and inclusive event for people of all ages with a physical or learning disability,
autism, sensory loss, or mental health conditions – and their families and carers. It is an annual
event which encourages everyone to participate in sport, physical exercise and social activities and
to find out about services and organisations which can provide support. A range of health checks is
on offer too.
Last year, we welcomed 1,600 attendees, with more than 100 stalls and also a dozen inclusive
sports and activities. Around 120 volunteers help run the day, including students from Hartpury
College and the University of Gloucestershire, making it a truly inclusive and impactful day, and this
year, we continue with the focus on staying healthy, active, and connected.
Please come along, and help us by spreading the word with people from your surgery who might find
it useful and fun.

For more information, please contact the Big Health Day team: BigHealthDay@ghc.nhs.uk. This is a
system-wide event held under the ‘One Gloucestershire’ banner, organised by Gloucestershire
Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust.
