Social prescribing is a key component of Personalised Care, connecting people to activities, groups, and services in their community to meet the practical, social and emotional needs that affect their health and wellbeing.

As a part of Social Prescribing Link Workers Day (SPLWs), we would like to share what support is available to (SPLWs) from the Training Hub and ICB?
The training hub and ICB offer 3 layers of support to our SPLW colleagues, please see details of this support including how to access these offers below.
Bi-monthly Personalised Care Network Meetings:
Open to all Personalised Care roles and take place face to face or virtually and provide the opportunity for SPLWs and the other personalised care roles to meet with peers, hear from speakers, raise any concerns or issues, and provide feedback to the ICB.
Personalised Care Newsletter:
Provide updates on relevant news, development, training, and education for Personalised Care roles.
SPLW Peer Group:
Run by SPLWs Sam Couldrey and Leona Smith, offering an informal space to connect with others, share learning, ask questions, and be supported. There is no formal agenda, but guest speakers will feature regularly. The peer group meet on the first Weds of the month from 1-2pm. There is no need to confirm your attendance, just join the teams meeting as and when you can.

Safeguarding supervision sessions for Personalised Care Roles – Jo Bridgeman, safeguarding specialist nurse in the safeguarding team at the ICB is providing safeguarding supervision drop-in sessions via MS Teams to discuss any safeguarding or complex cases you are experiencing. This is open to everyone working in ‘personalised care roles in Primary Care’ for support and safeguarding guidance. The next meeting will be taking place on Wednesday 15th April, 13:00-14:00. Please contact glicb.pcwc@nhs.net to be added to the distribution list for these meetings.
