During the session, we will provide:
- An overview of the ACP apprenticeship programme and entry requirements
- Information about programme structure, academic study and clinical supervision
- Details of apprenticeship funding and support available (NHS England mitigation funding information provided)
- Insight into the four pillars of advanced clinical practice: clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research
- Opportunities to ask questions and hear about the experiences and benefits of undertaking the programme
Undertaking the ACP apprenticeship offers practitioners the opportunity to:
- Develop advanced assessment, diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
- Enhance autonomy and scope of practice within their clinical role
- Strengthen leadership and service improvement capabilities
- Contribute to education, mentorship and workforce development
- Develop research awareness and evidence-based practice skills
- Progress their career within advanced clinical practice pathways
Completion of the programme enables practitioners to work at an advanced level across a range of healthcare settings, supporting high-quality patient care, improving service delivery and contributing to the future healthcare workforce. ACP-qualified practitioners often progress into senior clinical, leadership, specialist and service development roles within their organisations.
