Post shared to Social Media Channels – 7th October 2025
October is Black History Month. #BlackHistoryMonth#PowerAndPride2025
Gloucestershire Primary Care Training Hub would like to show our support and take part in raising awareness of the importance of recognising this month, whilst sharing resources that will aid organisations in creating inclusive environments where all employees feel equal and supported.
We would like to show our appreciation to all of our colleagues working across Primary Care and beyond, for their hard work and invaluable contribution to supporting the population of Gloucestershire.
NHS Employers highlighted that – “This year’s theme, ‘Standing firm in power and pride’, highlights the importance of sharing stories of resilience, strength, and unwavering commitment to progress that defines the black community”. Various resources have been amalgamated on their website, including:
– How to take action and tackle racism
– Details of events taking place throughout Black History Month and Beyond, including ‘Celebrating Black History Month: an evening with Lord Adebowale CBE and Baroness Warsi’
– Information on how you and your organization can get involved
– Act Against Racism guidance and resources
– Excellence through equality: anti-racism as a quality improvement tool
– NHS Race and Health Observatory
