Following feedback from the Practice Managers Training and Development Survey, Gloucestershire Primary Care Training Hub are excited to be offering a Development Day for Practice Managers. The session will be running at The Pavilion, Hatherley Lane, Cheltenham GL51 6PN on Thursday 4th September 2025.
The Development Day will include 3 training sessions:
- ‘Future Proofing You and Your Team’ from the fantastic The Development People, the workshop will focus on:
- What does future proofing your team look like?
- Knowing their worth – what works?
- Alignment vs Autonomy – How to gain a collaborative approach
- Developing a Primary Care Talent Pool
- Revisiting ‘Boundaries’ – where do you fit into this?
- Safer Recruitment Training
Safer Recruitment Training is a requirement of the Primary Care Offer. This bespoke training will equip attendees with the principles of safer recruitment and the safeguarding requirements around these processes.
- Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Training
An impactful session to develop attendees knowledge, understanding and awareness around equality, diversity and inclusion
The Development Day will be engaging, insightful, and will provide attendees with tools to take away. It also offers the opportunity to connect in with peers, share ideas and best practice.
This training is for Practice Managers, Deputy Practice Managers and Assistant Practice Managers. Lunch and Refreshments will be provided. There is plenty of free, accessible onsite parking at the venue.
The training hub will be requesting a £25/ attendee contribution towards the training from practices. Unfortunately, funding is limited and there have been issues with non-attendance at previous funded training sessions, we would therefore ask that by registering for this training, there is commitment to ensure attendance.
