Please see below a range of apprenticeship options for colleagues working in general practice and for PCN’s. For the majority of Primary Care Practices, the Training is fully funded via an Apprenticeship Levy transfer, so the only cost to the practice is the individual’s Salary and protected study time (approx. 6 hours per week).
Two of the below apprenticeships will be defunded from September 2026. The government has confirmed that 16 apprenticeship standards, including several widely used leadership and management programmes in the NHS, will be defunded from September 2026. These reforms form part of efforts to redirect apprenticeship funding towards young learners, aligning with wider plans to expand the Youth Guarantee and refocus the Growth and Skills Levy. We have a page dedicated to explaining these changes and linking to full information on each opportunity on our website – https://glosprimarycare.co.uk/apprenticeships-at-risk-of-defunding
