100 Futures Scheme
Gloucestershire Primary Care Training Hub are keen to promote the Gloucestershire Employment and Skills Hub’s latest offer “100 Futures,” which is being run in partnership with DWP (Department for Work and Pensions).
100 Futures is a programme supporting 100 young people aged between 16 and 24 to undertake a work placement which will help them to build capacity, skills, awareness and confidence, helping them to move into paid employment. The placement is for 16 hours per week for 6 weeks and the 16 hours can be flexible to meet your needs. There is also no commitment to offer paid employment at the end of the placement, unless of course you wish to.
Whilst offering a young person access to a work placement, it also offers a range of benefits to the practice including –
•Giving existing staff the opportunity to gain management and mentoring skills
•Access to a talent pool of young people who can help grow your practice and fill skill gaps
•Contributing to the practice’s social responsibility and diversity and inclusion activity
•Working with care experienced young people who are building independence, resilience and adaptability
You will be providing young people to gain a greater understanding of the world of work, explore potential roles and career paths, make more informed choices for their future, develop their skills and grow their CVs.
The Employment and Skills Hub offer a comprehensive package of support including recruitment and matching processes, regular review meetings, action plans for the young person to ensure they meet the needs of your organisation and facilitate any other reasonable adjustments necessary
If you feel you would be able to offer a placement, please complete the below form and your details will be passed to the Gloucestershire Skills and Employment hub, who will be in contact to discuss.
