Training hub GP fellowship opportunities

The training hub is pleased to offer several funded GP fellowship roles available to GPs at any stage of their career. Priority will be given to GPs who have not previously done a fellowship. These fellowships offer a unique opportunity to develop an interest, explore a passion or give the headspace to undertake a project that benefits our local populations.

Full details regarding the fellowship opportunities can be found below.

  • GP educator fellowship- suitable for experienced GP educators to support their development and enhance the ongoing collaboration between the training hub and VTS. The fellowship aims to guide the expansion of GP training. To access the role outline, please click here.

Application Process

To apply for one of the above fellowship opportunities, please complete the application form (please note that a CV can be supplied to replace the sections where previous jobs etc are listed), which can be accessed here. When applying, please state which fellowship you are applying for and send your application form to glicb.pcwc@nhs.net. Please note that blind shortlisting is undertaken to make the recruitment process as fair as possible. Informal discussions are welcome- please get in touch with laurahalden@nhs.net. The closing date for all fellowship applications is 19th December 2024 at midday. Interviews will take place in January.

Important information regarding Payment

Please note that due to the funding source and employment mechanisms, monies will be transferred to
your current practice via a Memorandum of Understanding. Any offer will be made on the condition that an
MOU is possible, and funds will need to be transferred within 4 weeks of conditional offer. We would
strongly encourage potential applicants to have a preliminary discussion with their practice manager prior
to interview to seek their agreement in principle. The Training Hub Business Manager is happy to have a
discussion with practice managers if this would be helpful. Unfortunately, we are unable to transfer monies via an alternative mechanism
